I was very lucky to grow up in Toronto when so
many of the great blues musicians came and played
the small clubs downtown. Years later, on
reflection, I am grateful that I had the
opportunity to photograph many of these historical
shows. This exhibition documents the musicians,
venues, clubs and soulful music. I met and talked
with most of the musicians I photographed; some
were legends, some were stars, and some were
members of their bands.
