Noir Architecture
Noir Architecture, showcasing photographs by
Hamish Robertson, illustrates the Toronto downtown
core, long after midnight. These images of
deserted streets are bound together by a poetic
text exploring the connotations that arise when
one photograph is placed next to another and the
creation of a subjective internalized narrative
occurs. The exhibition depicts the history of
Toronto through the lens of the photographer’s own
memory and imagination.
