This online exhibit from the Archives of Ontario
features photographs of Eaton’s store windows from
across Canada throughout the 20th century. These
store windows revealed trends in merchandise and
fashion, captured historic events and documented
times of collective celebration and mourning. Over
1000 images have been digitized to reflect
Canada’s evolving cultural landscape during one of
the most dynamic periods in history.
