Mavreen David’s A Road Less Traveled allows a
glimpse at the state of an historic road, The
mother road, Route 66. The images leave an
impression of desertion and emptiness, but allude
to a time where the sites and sounds boomed and
the route thrived. The series was captured during
the making of the music documentary Pedal to Steel
– Melissa McClelland’s Route 66. Special thanks
