Preserving The Jungle
Armed with a stack of contact sheets and his
camera, Moreno returns to his old community,
Lawrence Heights, to find the children of his 1992
photographs. Using his images as a tool to
reconnect and instill trust, Moreno gains access
into the present-day life of his past subjects.
Moreno’s photographic journey is an ongoing
process that has become an important tool in
engaging community members to participate in the
future revitalization process.
