Toronto-born artist Celia Jimenez explores the
cultural differences between herself and her
Guatemalan family roots. Using diptychs of
abandoned Ontario homes contrasted against her
documentation of Guatemalan life, Jimenez’s black
and white prints speak about constructed memory
and personal history.
