Michie’s Untitled Toronto series takes a broad
look at the social environment in Toronto over the
last three years. He examines issues such as
homelessness and poverty, ad encroachment,
vertical sprawl and the clash of cultures and
lifestyles. This is juxtaposed with Pasila’s
Immediate Past series of miniature pinhole
photographs that address the precious, ethereal
qualities of the past. They are shown alongside
her Neighbourhood at Night series that explores
the passage and consumption of time.
