Memory and History are the two pillars that make
us who we are. Together they keep the past alive,
while preparing us to face the future. In Cuba,
everywhere you go is steeped in the combined
memories of millions of tourists. I went there not
only to recapture lost memories, but also to add
some history to the country. There and Back Again
examines how prior histories and memories clash
with newer ones.
