contemplation on the contradictions
between wild landscapes and constructed
environments as places to
dwell. Both of these environments can
seem empty and lonely, and conversely,
soothing and inviting. Set against one
another, these sites reveal differences
in individuals’ desire. The juxtaposition
of Knowles and Sloane Siklos’ work
invites the viewer to join the discourse.
