Bruce Livingston Beach Debris
Beach Debris exhibits landscape photographs
that detail items found washed
ashore along Lake Ontario. The items,
such as balloons and plastic bottles,
intrude on sand, rock, snow and ice.
The invented colours of man-made
objects interpose themselves on the
natural palette of the landscape. The
photographs invite the viewer to ponder
the history of the synthetic objects
found, and to examine the impact of
consumerism on the environment.
