SIGNS OF THE TIMES: photographs from the Panda Collection
Gander, Redpath, Loblaws, Faberge: Panda
Associates – a group of Toronto architectural,
commercial and industrial photographers –
documented Canada’s postwar building boom.
They photographed the designs of their
contemporaries through modern eyes. The signage
and typography, the architecture and the
photographs together reflect the idealism of Mid-
Century Canada.
