Lansdowne & Queen
Jon Reed uses the techniques of digital photo
collage and montage to further explore the city
fabric. The images are a series of overprinted
photographs taken as a walk within the spaces
and streets of the city. They produce an oscillating
rhythm and physical uncertainty as the viewer is
drawn in and encouraged to occupy the space
between the layers of cubist collapse; and yet, the
imagery is more akin to a painterly impressionistic
composition recalling the thoughts of the flaneur.
