Recognized as one of North America’s pre-eminent
abstract photographers as well as an educator
and writer, Carl Chiarenza is exhibiting work from
his two most recent book projects:

Peace Warriors of 2003, and Solitudes, which was
photographed the following year. The images
represent a personal response to world events
and the current global situation, presented in the
abstract language of constructed black and white
still-lifes. This is Chiarenza’s first exhibition in
Toronto in many years.
