A Fragile Landscape
Zeifman has been working with a 35mm Leica
camera and natural light to produce a series of
black and white nude photographs. He has created
a series of images that are neither ironic or self
referential instead he has made the body a stolid,
sculptural presence, a milky white trunk emerging
from darkness. The gaze in many of these
photographs remind us that intimacy is presaged
by the desire to be seen.
