Richard Mandin Imago
Imago wonders: what is the difference between memory and story? What is the truth in our imagined narratives, the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves.
This exhibition combines scanned family album slides and prints with macro insect photography in surprising ways to explore this question.
The pandemic was a time for reflection. A time to dive into old boxes of slides and revisit faded memories. Imago looks both with nostalgia and suspicion at a simpler analogue time.
Imago is a mix of nostalgia, cynicism, and entomology.
