The shores of Toronto Island are rich in found objects, both flotsam and jetsam. Unwanted and unwashed, these items are core elements in a series of art installations.

Photographs of these works taken by various artists over a period of five years accompany documentation of an acre-large site painting completed at the Toronto Island Water Filtration Plant in 2001.

The launch of a publication documenting both initiatives takes place on the opening day of the exhibition.
