This presentation brings together the photographic works of Toronto-based artists Alison Postma and Shelby Fenlon. Informed by the history and tradition of studio photography, both artists construct elaborate and colourful tableaux that employ mercantile references and motifs. Keenly attuned to and familiar with the visual vocabulary of commercial photography, their artworks employ ideas related to objecthood and the human body.
