In partnership with Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue organization, photographer Leontaritis travelled to more than 40 community service organizations, including after-school programs, shelters, centres for newcomers, meal drop-in and food hamper programs. Focused on capturing the people who bring these spaces to life, this project is a testament to Toronto’s hidden food champions—the chefs, cooks, volunteers, and community members who make up a food scene that is directly impacting thousands of Canadians who are food insecure.
