Radha Chaddah in collaboration with Dan Bédard Beneath Us
Beneath Us is a photographic and sonic installation that reveals hidden realms that exist at an invisible scale. Chaddah removed tiny specks of wax from a beehive, coated them in gold and photographed them using a scanning electron microscope. Bédard created the score by blending traditional instrument sounds with bee sounds and filtering them through Chaddah’s photographs. Beneath Us symbolizes the invisibility of non-human narratives, the essential inter-relatedness of living things, and the beauty and fragility of these relationships.
The opening reception on May 16 features a live musical jam with the Beneath Us score.
