“Throughout my life in photography, I also worked as a lighting director on now iconic independent films with creators like Jim Jarmusch, Wim Wenders, Lars von Trier, Michelangelo Antonioni, and Robby Müller. In the pauses between the frantic pace of film setups, I would pick up my camera. Looking back now, not knowing then that we were on the cusp of monumental change (film to digital, cinema to movies, artist to employee), I see them as fleeting portraits.
