John Massey: The House That Jack Built
Public Talk by the Artist, 25 May 7 pm at the UofT
Art Centre.
This large exhibition will comprise twelve
multiple-print installations. It looks back at the
last two decades of photographic production by
this internationally known conceptual artist. In
his works from the 1990s John Massey integrated
digital manipulation with his own images, so that,
for example, “Jack” – a wooden miniature artist’s
manikin – has been given an eye. Organized by the
Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography in
2004, this exhibition is being toured by the
National Gallery of Canada.
