Amis captures the shifting beauty of the urban environment in his work. The images in this exhibition represent everyday calm moments, when the perpetual movement of life is suspended and a pause allows for contemplation of the beauty of the ordinary. Amis’ idea for this series came about when he was inside a car as it moved through a carwash. Abstraction and representation are the ebb and flow of The Way It Looks.
