“Hunter, Gatherer Constructs” is a series of
images allied by the notions of elemental energy,
romance, and refuge. The romantic series of brush
fires “ritualistically” gathered and constructed
are a phenomenon of pure elemental energy
having a duality of physicality and spirituality. The
loyalty of related images…dog, nest, boathouse,
island …function to illustrate that we take “refuge”
in the immensity of the natural world yet compels
us to find our “place”.
