This immersive, full-day workshop with Clint Woodside, founder of Deadbeat Club, is designed to support photographers in transforming their projects into compelling photobooks. This workshop is ideal for artists whose projects have a clear intention—even if the final form is still coming into focus—and who are ready to explore how editing and sequencing can bring their work closer to publication.
Over the course of this workshop, participants will:
Refine intent through Editing & Group Discussion: We'll look closely at each participant’s work through collaborative editing exercises and open group conversations. This process will help sharpen narrative, sequence, and structure—pushing projects toward a more resolved form.
Receive Personalized Consultations: Clint, alongside published Deadbeat Club artists Maude Arsenault (Entangled and Resurfacing) and Richard Renaldi (Billions Served), will provide personalized feedback tailored to each participant's project, offering valuable insights on how to refine their work and push it towards completion.
Alongside hands-on development of individual projects, Clint will share insight into Deadbeat Club’s publishing process, offering real-world advice and informal access to their experience as artists and independent publishers. This workshop is an opportunity to strengthen your project’s foundation while connecting with a community of peers and mentors invested in the photobook as a powerful form.
